Hello, and thank you for visiting our site. We truly appreciate your support. I am Vanessa Outland, Owner of AfriLux Events Management, LLC. This company is near and dear to my heart as event planning and management runs true through my core. I am the last of ten children in a very large and very Liberian (West African) family. If you know anything about Africans, you know that we like to gather! I have countless childhood memories of spontaneous weekend gatherings, celebrations for baptisms, Christenings, graduations, baby showers, weddings, and the good ole, just because we wanted to get together, get-to-togethers.
I’ve always had a passion for organizing and executing extraordinarily memorable events. For over fifteen years I’ve engaged in design and planning from birthday and graduation parties to baby showers, weddings and anniversary celebrations. Despite the unfathomable loss, lockdowns, and fear that came with the pandemic in 2020, I found a blessing in the forced downtime. I decided to pursue my passion for events management realizing that there would be a great need as things returned to normal. I completed a Master Certificate Program for Events Management driven by the notion of, “if you love something, learn everything you can about it.” The program increased my knowledge and love for this field. I became more determined to make my passion work for me and my family.
With a push from my two wonderful children and the overwhelming support of my huge family and loved ones, AfriLux Events Management, LLC is a reality today.
