She was organized, prepared, responsive, and always paying attention to the little details that could easily be overlooked. On the actual wedding day, she and her team were AMAZING. They were constantly moving, helping, checking on things, making sure everything was where it needed to be, and making sure we were taken care of. I didn’t feel like I had to constantly worry about what was happening behind the scenes because they were ON IT. But what stood out to me even more than the organization was the care. I never felt like I was just another event on a calendar. Vanessa was attentive to me as a bride and genuinely wanted our day to go beautifully. There is something so special about having people around you on such an important day who don’t just “do their job,” but actually care about your experience. There were so many moments where I looked around and realized things were being handled before I even had the chance to ask. THAT is the kind of planner you want. Someone who can anticipate needs, problem-solve, keep things moving, and still make you feel supported instead of stressed. AfriLux was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. “Vanessa captured the essence of what I wanted but couldn’t adequately articulate.” AfriLux Events planned and coordinated my Birthday Party this past February. The event was perfectly executed with a warm and cozy ambiance. Vanessa captured the essence of what I wanted but couldn’t adequately articulate. Every single activity was well thought out – from the design of my photo wall to the games we played, and down to a fire pit which we all gathered around with blankets to roast marshmallows and make s’mores. She even explained how to use the fancy marshmallow skewers to put together a perfect s’more. I appreciate how in-tune she was with my personal desires and aesthetic preferences and even the needs and limitations of my guests. I will most definitely be a return customer!

I attended a sweet sixteen birthday party that was planned by AfriLux Events, and I decided I had to write a review even though it wasn’t my party. This party was so well done! My daughter and I had such a blast and the theme of pink and gold was gorgeous! I was excited to pick my wardrobe because of it! When I arrived, the décor was spectacular! I especially loved the 360-photo booth experience. The dessert table was very creative and delicious too! The DJ played a great mix of beats, and the menu was superb with a great variety for all! Overall, this event was amazingly planned and perfectly executed! I will be contracting with AfriLux Events for all my event needs!

Afrilux Events Management has organized multiple events for me, namely themed birthday parties and a baby shower. This team is impeccable with their attention to detail and has always done an excellent job capturing my vision and desire for how I wanted my events, while adding their own unique flair. Their communication and time management have always been very much appreciated, as I am a procrastinator with poor communication skills, haphazardly doing things at the last minute with high expectations!
